Motorola has shared early details about its next Moto smartphone before its official release. Not only has the company confirmed what the Moto G64 looks like, but it has also confirmed various key device specifications, including the presence of MediaTek's new Dimensity 7025 chipset.

Motorola is preparing to deliver at least one Edge-branded smartphone globally after the release of the Edge 50 Pro in India earlier this month. In summary, the company has only revealed that its next Edge smartphone release will occur on April 16. It has not outlined whether multiple models will debut on that date or just the Edge 50 Pro, though. However, it has now confirmed that another Moto G smartphone will also be available from April 16.

Having already delivered over half a dozen Moto G series smartphones since late December, including the Moto G Power 5G 2024, Motorola has now moved on to the Moto G64 5G. On the one hand, the company has shared numerous promotional images and specifications via Flipkart, many of which we have embedded below. On the other hand, Evan Blass has leaked a short Moto G64 promotional video, which we have embedded below. Surprisingly, Motorola has provided most device specifications before the handset's official release.

Contrary to rumours, the Moto G64 will be the first smartphone to launch running the Dimensity 7025, a 6 nm chipset that MediaTek builds around TSMC N6 nodes. According to MediaTek's product page, the Dimensity 7025 contains an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU like the Dimensity 7020, as well as ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores that can boost to 2 GHz. Additionally, the Dimensity 7025 features Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz, a 300 MHz overclock compared to the Dimensity 7020.

Moreover, the Moto G64 offers a 1080p and 120 Hz display that spans 6.5-inches, IP52 certification, three years of security updates and the promise of an Android 15 upgrade at some point. On top of that, Motorola has equipped the handset with 50 MP primary (OIS), 16 MP front-facing and 8 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras, along with a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging inside an 8.89 mm and 192 g housing. For reference, Motorola will sell the Moto G64 in blue, green and purple finishes with the choice between 8 GB/128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage memory configurations.
