The Mjolnir power station from GRN International is crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The company claims that it is the world’s first lithium-titanate power station, with the material allowing it to work in temperatures as low as -22 °F (~-30 °C). The gadget delivers a peak power of 5,400 W, or 3,000 W continuous power, allowing you to power a hair dryer or welding machine, for example.
The company even suggests using the power station to charge an electric car in an emergency, adding up to 3.2 miles (~5.3 km) range to EVs from brands such as Tesla. The power pack has a 960 Wh capacity, allowing it to power a 1,000 W microwave for over an hour. Ports on the device include AC outlets, four 15 W USB-A, 15 W USB-C and 60 W USB-C. Plus, an integrated display shows information like output power and battery level. The gadget can fast charge via a wall outlet, reaching 100% in as little as 30 minutes. Alternatively, you could use solar panels to fully recharge the power station in two to three hours.
The portable gadget is relatively compact, weighing 41 lbs (~19 kg) and measuring 11.8 x 15.7 x 13.1-in (~300 x 400 x 335 mm). You can currently receive the GRN International Mjolnir power station when you pledge US$1,699 to the Kickstarter campaign; the device is due to retail for US$2,499 in the future. The Korean company is shipping the gadget to countries including the US, the UK, Canada, Australia and the Netherlands, with deliveries expected in July 2023.
