Xiaomi Mi 67 W Dual Port GaN Charger (1C + 1A) arrives with UFCS support alongside 35 W model
Xiaomi has launched the Mi 35 W Dual Port Charger (1C+1A) and the Mi 67 W GaN Dual Port Charger Set (1C+1A) in China. Each gadget has a USB-C and a USB-A port, enabling you to charge two devices simultaneously. The charging power is dynamically distributed between the ports when two devices are connected. The 67 W model supports charging protocols such as QC and PD, as well as the UFCS (Universal Fast Charging Specification), a standard agreed upon by the Chinese companies Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo.
Xiaomi suggests that the charging plugs are compatible with a range of smartphones, headphones, tablets and smartwatches. The product listing for the smaller gadget claims that you can use it to charge various MacBook Air models, like the 2022 M2 chip model. Safety features of the devices include protection against overvoltage, overheating, and overcurrent. Plus, the products have been shown to work at temperatures between -10 and 40 °C (~14 to 104 °F).
GaN technology helps to keep the gadgets compact and lightweight; the 67 W plug measures 49.3 x 55.9 x 28 mm (~1.94 x 2.20 x 1.10-in), while the 35 W model measures 46.8 x 55.4 x 28 (~1.84 x 2.18 x 1.10-in). You can currently buy the Xiaomi Mi 35 W Dual Port Charger (1C+1A) in China for 99 yuan (~US$14). The more powerful Xiaomi Mi 67 W GaN Dual Port Charger Set (1C+1A) retails for 149 yuan (~US$20). It is unclear whether or when the gadgets could launch in other markets.
