A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the NiKOTA META-2000 portable power station will shortly begin. The gadget has 4G/5G connectivity via a SIM card or network cable. You can use the device to power up to 13 devices simultaneously with a maximum power output of 2,300 W. The power station has a 2,016 Wh capacity and recharges fully in 1.1 hours.

The NiKOTA META-2000 portable power station will shortly begin crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The gadget initially launched earlier this year, raising funds via an Indiegogo campaign. The device has 4G/5G connectivity, which you can enable via a SIM card or a network cable; the company claims this is a unique feature, with wireless transmission rates up to 1,200 Mbps and over 50 m (~164 ft) range.

The META-2000 has a 2,016 Wh capacity with a maximum power output of 2,300 W. For example, this allows you to power an electric oven for 1.1 hours or a projector for around 25 hours. Plus, ultra-fast recharging enables the gadget to charge fully in 1.5 hours. You can use the product to simultaneously charge up to 13 devices via ports, including USB-A, USB-C and AC power. In an emergency, the power station has a built-in light that can run for up to 20 hours on 0% charge.

The gadget weighs 16 kg (~35 lbs), which NiKOTA claims makes it 27% lighter than its competitors. The NiKOTA META-2000 portable power station will land on Kickstarter on November 15. Customers who sign up for the company’s mailing list will be eligible for a 47% discount on launch day. As an indication of what this exact price might be, the MSRP of the gadget was previously listed on Indiegogo as US$1,999.
