ESR's latest Kickstarter campaign combines its line of charging stations with wireless charging docks specifically intended for iPhones, AirPods and Apple Watches with up-to-100 watt (W) wired charging for the first time. Accordingly, the OEM asserts that a user can charge up to 6 devices at the same time at their respective maximal rates thanks to "advanced" gallium nitride (GaN) technology.

ESR's latest charging station of the type that also acts as a magnetic stand for an iPhone, AirPods and an Apple Watch all at once might be of more interest to some Android users in this generation too. The new 6-in-1 iteration upgrades to 100W fast charging, supported by GaN tech.

The advanced feature is distributed through dual USB type-C and single type-A ports with "smart power distribution" that delivers a combined 30+65+5W charging profile when they are all used at once. However, either type-C port is also rated for the full 100W rating when used on their own.

Accordingly, ESR asserts that the charging station can service a range of smartphones, tablets or accessories as well as the 3 Apple devices that have their own purpose-made stands on the device at the same time.

Their CryoBoost-cooled wireless charging pads are indeed touted as officially certified for MagSafe and Qi charging (rather than ESR's own HaloLock system for some reason) in this version.

All that potential for well-organized desktop charging does come with a slight drawback in that the main body of the station needs a 2-pin cable to support its full power requirements from a wall socket, rather than any high-wattage type-C brick you might already have lying around.

Nevertheless, the ESR 100W 6-in-1 GaN Charger has attained over US$200,000, or ~18 times its funding goal, on Kickstarter at the time of writing. It currently goes for ~US$155 as an early-bird backer's reward, although there are plans to list it on other platforms such as Amazon by October 2023.
