The Anker SOLIX Solarbank E1600 is now available to pre-order in the EU. The company claims that the 1.6 kWh LiFePO4 battery will last up to 6,000 cycles, giving it an estimated lifetime of around 15 years. The capacity of each solarbank would allow you to run a 200W bulb or fridge for 8 hours or a TV or computer for 16 hours.
Anker also suggests that the gadget could save you up to €2,670 over the course of the product’s life. The E1600 is compatible with 99% of mainstream balcony solar power systems from Anker's own SOLIX range, as well as brands like TSUN and Hoymiles. According to the product listing, the solarbank takes five minutes to set up thanks to its plug-and-play design and is suitable for outdoor use with an IP65 rating. Plus, you can view real-time energy analysis in the accompanying app, setting your PV power status and controlling the power storage level.
You can pre-order the Anker SOLIX Solarbank E1600 in the EU for the discounted price of €1,199; the model will retail for €1,439. Customers who purchase the device will also receive a 15% off voucher for their next Anker purchase and be entered into a prize draw to win the Anker 521 PowerHouse (256Wh). It is unclear when the product will launch in other markets.
