Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Smart TV A50 2024 in China. The new model has a 4K resolution and a 50-in display. Features include built-in speakers, voice commands and wireless screen casting. The model is relatively cheap, currently on sale for the discounted price of 1,349 yuan (~US$185).

The Xiaomi Redmi Smart TV A50 2024 has been launched in China. The new 4K 50-in model can produce over 1.07 billion colors. The TV has a 96.9% screen-to-body ratio, a 60 Hz refresh rate display and a 178° viewing angle. Other features include automatic brightness adjustment to protect your eyes and a built-in 10W stereo speaker pair.

The A50 2024 uses the MIUI TV operating system, allowing you to control the device with voice commands. The TV has a SoC with quad Cortex A35 cores, a G31 MP2 GPU and 1.5+8GB memory. Thanks to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, you can wirelessly mirror your screen from various Android, iOS, Windows and Mac devices. Alternatively, you can physically connect external gadgets via USB, HDMI and S/PDIF ports. According to the product listing, the model is rated Class 4 energy efficient in China.

You can currently buy the Xiaomi Redmi Smart TV A50 2024 in China for the discounted price of 1,349 yuan (~US$185); the gadget is expected to retail for 1,599 yuan (~US$219). It is unclear whether or when the model could go on sale in other regions.
