Xiaomi Mijia Magnetic Reading Light now crowdfunding

You can choose between three brightness settings at the click of a button on the Mijia Magnetic Reading Light: 10%, 50% and 100%. As its name suggests, the light comes with a stand to which the lamp can magnetically attach. You can use the stand to adjust the angle of the light up to 25°, and the lamp can be placed on a wall horizontally or vertically. You can also detach the light and move it around your home or use it as a torch. The lamp is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery, allowing it to run for 4.5 hours in the highest brightness mode, recharging via USB-C.

You can now pledge 69 yuan (~US$10) to the Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding campaign for the Mijia Magnetic Reading Light White in China. The device is expected to retail for 79 yuan (~US$11) in the future. At the time of writing, the campaign has over 1,800 backers and has exceeded its funding target. The company has not made it clear whether or not it intends to launch the gadget in other markets.
