It's still February in 2024 - however, that's not too early to start thinking about a trip on which a new portable cooler could be an ideal companion, according to BLUETTI, anyway. It has chosen this moment to get into the LFP-powered adventure gear game in this way with the new MultiCooler Portable Fridge.
The OEM asserts that its "large-capacity" 3-in-1 fridge on wheels can keep its contents fresh for up to 6 days, and makes its ice at a "quiet" volume of 45 decibels (dB). These features are powered by a "hot-swappable" B70 Modular Battery, which is also compatible with the new AC180T Power Station.
The AC180T can house up to 2 of the innovative batteries, which are touted to withstand ~3,000 charging cycles and at least 5,000 swaps throughout their lifetime thanks to LFP technology, touted here as the most advanced, reliable and stable power-storage compound around as it so often is.
It is thus touted to augment the MultiCooler Portable Fridge's "15-minute" Rapid Cooling abilities with up to 1,800W of back-up power (with 2 B70s). The chilling new "ecosystem" is rated to charge in a number of ways, the option of solar panels from which its name is derived included.
Both the Fridge and Power Station support fast USB-C and type-A charging, while the latter also sports other options such as AC sockets. They can be monitored and controlled using the BLUETTI app, so the user can make sure their food stays cold by swapping batteries at need.
The AC180T Power Station and MultiCooler Portable Fridge are now available on Indiegogo for $849 and $569 (or $899 with 1 B70) respectively, or up to 37% off their eventual RRPs. Alternatively, they can be bundled together with or without a solar panel on the page, with early-bird offers starting at $1,429.
Over 260 backers have already taken these deals up to drive the SolarSwap campaign to nearly $296,000, or ~592% of its funding goal, with 43 days to go. Meanwhile, its pre-existing rival the EcoFlow Glacier is $999 all by itself at the time of writing.
