EcoFlow's new "Ultra-powered" DELTA-series variant comes endorsed by JerryRigEverything's Zach Nelson as "the best choice for families" in terms of potentially off-grid home power solution.
The standalone 6kWh generator can also connect to solar panels and charge at up to 5.6kWh (or 16.8kWh in the case of a full system, which consists of up to 3 Pro Ultra units with 15 modular batteries between them), or, as EcoFlow puts it, "1 hour solar for 1 day's use".
The OEM also claims that a Pro Ultra system can do that while also covering a home's whole grid of appliances (and cars, perhaps) with an output of 7.2kWh for a single unit (or "inverter" plus a complementary starter battery) to as much as 90kWh for a whole set - however, to co-ordinate all of that, a Smart Home Panel 2 may be necessary.
It is a conventional breaker-box replacement (by your registered electrician, ideally) rated to maintain that 7.2kWh figure for the whole house "no matter what". Then again, that prospect does not come cheap, with even just 1 DELTA Pro Ultra unit plus Smart Home Panel 2 now valued at $7,199.
That might be why EcoFlow has chosen to sweeten this new deal with a discount to $6,399 on sales of the new bundle via ecoflow.com/us with the code EFDPU800, valid until February 9, 2024.
