The updated Anker 547 USB-C Hub (7-in-2, for MacBook, Gray) is now available in the UK and the EU. The new device is similar to the older model, connecting to your MacBook via the two USB-C ports. The accessories also have the same seven ports, with a multifunctional USB-C providing 100W pass-through charging and 40 Gbps bandwidth. You can also use the port to connect to a 5K@60Hz display.
The Anker 547 has an HDMI port that can connect to a second monitor with a maximum resolution of 4K@30Hz. Another USB-C and two USB-A ports bring 5 Gbps data transfer alongside SD and microSD card slots. The significant difference between the two models is the placement of the HDMI port. On the older 547, the port was at the top of the device, which could block the MagSafe charging port on newer models like the 2022 MacBook Air M2. So, Anker has moved the HDMI port to the long side with the other six ports, removing the obstruction.
The USB-C Hub’s design mimics the shape of the MacBook, with a similar metallic finish. You can now buy the Anker 547 USB-C Hub (7-in-2, for MacBook, Gray) in the UK and the EU for £39.99 and €59.99, respectively. You can currently get 15-20% off these prices at Amazon; it is unclear how long these deals will last. The older model of the 547 retails in the US for US$49.99. When the updated model reaches this market is unknown.
