Logitech has unveiled the Logi Dock Flex, a docking station designed for hot desking offices. Due to launch later this year, the gadget connects to your laptop via USB-C with up to 100W power and has a further six USB ports for peripherals. Plus, the device has an 8-in (~203 mm) screen to show whether the desk is free or booked.

The Logitech Logi Dock Flex managed docking station has been revealed. The solution has been designed for hot desking office spaces, making it easier to manage desk sharing. You can connect to the dock via USB-C, charging your laptop at up to 100W.

The Logi Dock Flex has two 7.5W USB-C and one 7.5W USB-A port on the front of the device, with two more USB-A and a USB-C port at the rear. Also at the back of the device are an RJ45 Ethernet port, HDMI 2.0 port and DisplayPort 1.4, allowing you to connect to two monitors at a resolution of up to 4K@60Hz. The Logitech docking station has an 8-in (~203 mm) display with a 120 x 800 resolution, showing whether the desk is currently available. You can personalize the docking station with a background photo and “away from my desk” message, plus you can integrate your calendar via Logi Tune for click-to-join meeting invites.

Companies can choose from Microsoft Teams, Zoom Workspace Reservation and Logitech’s desk booking services; the company suggests a broader array of tools could be offered later. Logitech Sync can monitor and remotely manage the Logi Dock Flex system, adjusting bookings and customizing the devices. The Logitech Logi Dock Flex will launch this Fall, retailing for US$699 in the US, £749 in the UK and €849 in the EU. The desk booking service will be free, with premium features such as usage insights, floor plan maps and alerts free until July 1, 2024. It is unclear how much these premium features will cost in the future or how Logitech will charge for them.
