Anker has launched the 556 USB-C Hub (8-in-1, USB4) in the UK and EU. The eight ports on the device include a 100W USB-C PD input and a USB4 upstream port with a 40 Gbps bandwidth to connect to your laptop, providing 85W pass-through charging. A USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 has a 10 Gbps transfer rate, and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 are capable of 10 Gbps.
You can connect dual displays via HDMI and DisplayPort on the 556 USB-C Hub, each with an [email protected] resolution. When two monitors are connected, the maximum resolution reduces to [email protected] The eighth port on the Anker hub is for Ethernet. The gadget is compatible with laptops running Windows 10 and above or macOS 12 or later; these devices include the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 and the MacBook Pro 16-in 2021 M1 Max. The hub has a 1.6 ft (~0.5 m) USB4 cable and measures 5.12 x 2.13 x 0.65-in (~130 x 54 x 17 mm).
You can now buy the Anker 556 USB-C Hub (8-in-1, USB4) in the UK and EU for £149.99 and €149.99, respectively. The gadget launched in the US earlier this year, retailing for US$149.99. Right now, customers who purchase the USB-C Hub in the US will receive a free Anker 321 USB-C to Lightning Cable (3 ft / 6 ft / 10 ft) worth US$13.99.
