The Vässla Pedal electric bicycle has been revealed. The pedelec has a single gear with a torque sensor to adjust the motor assistance to suit your needs automatically. The e-bike has a top assistance speed of 25 kph (~16 mph) and can travel for up to 100 km (~62 miles) between charges.

The Vässla Pedal is a new e-bike that has been revealed. The electric bicycle has been designed for cycling in urban environments to suit commuters. A 250 W motor powers the bike, assisting you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph) and providing up to 45 Nm of torque. The Pedal uses a single gear with a torque sensor, to intelligently adjust the assistance power, with three modes available.

You can travel for up to 100 km (~62 miles) on a single charge and detach the battery from the bike; the battery capacity is unknown. The Pedal weighs 19 kg (~42 lbs) and supports a payload of up to 120 kg (~265 lbs). The bicycle is designed to suit riders over 155 cm (~5 ft 1-in) tall and comes with 24-in (~61 cm) tires suitable for weather all year round. Other features of the pedelec include integrated lights and a phone mount.

The bike is compatible with Atranvelo accessories, which you can use to carry cargo. You can currently pre-order the Vässla Pedal electric bicycle in Sweden for 24,995 SEK (~€2,284 or ~US$2,213), with deliveries expected in March. The company also offers a subscription model with various options available, from monthly to yearly commitments, starting from 799 SEK (~€73 or ~US$71) per month. Plus, the Vässla subscription scheme is available in Paris and Madrid.
