IO eMobility Blade One e-bike with single gear and 100 km range revealed
The IO eMobility Blade One is a new e-bike now available to pre-order. The electric bicycle is powered by a rear-mounted 250 W motor, delivering up to 48 Nm of torque and assisting you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph) across five power levels; IO eMobility claims that the engine runs “almost silently”.
The Blade One has a single gear and an LDS torque sensor to adjust the assistance level automatically. A 374 Wh battery assists you for up to 100 km (~62 miles). There are Tektro HD-M275 160 mm disc brakes at the front and rear and a built-in LCD, showing information such as your speed and the battery level. You can also charge your smartphone on the go via a USB port. Plus, integrated LED lights produce up to 40 Lux brightness to help you to see and be seen in low lighting.
The pedelec has 28-in (~71 cm) KENDA K198 tires with front and rear mudguards. The bike has a carbon fiber frame, weighing 19 kg (~42 lbs) with the battery and 17 kg (~37 lbs) without, and it can support loads up to 110 kg (~243 lbs). You can currently pre-order the IO eMobility Blade One e-bike for €1,899 (~US$1,825); the bicycle is expected to retail for €2,199 (~US$2,113) in the future.
