MagyarBianchi e-Vertic: Legendary Italian bicycle maker shows off new electric city and mountain bikes
After the legendary bicycle manufacturer Bianchi has just recently unveiled a brand new electric gravel bike in the form of the e-Arcadex, the reputable Italian brand will soon release a few additional brand new e-bikes for very different purposes. These electric mountain bikes and city bikes are scheduled to launch in early 2023.
First of all, Bianchi has unveiled the flagship MTB model of the new lineup which goes by the rather complicated name “e-Vertic FX-Type Pro”. This full-suspension electric mountain bike is equipped with a carbon-fiber frame, 29-inch wheels and 160mm of suspension travel both in the front and rear. The electric MTB is further powered by the well-known Bosch Performance Line CX e-bike motor with 85 Nm of torque. The e-bike also sports a 750 Wh Bosch battery, which can provide a range of up to 96 miles. Bianchi has yet to announce the price of its new high-end electric mountain bike.
The less expensive version of this electric mountain bike, which starts at €5,299 in Europe and does not carry the “Pro” moniker in its name, is built around an aluminum frame and has 20mm less suspension travel in the front and rear. As a third option, Bianchi offers a hardtail configuration called "e-Vertic X-Type”, which has a smaller 625 Wh battery and a slightly shorter range of 88 miles. This well-equipped electric MTB starts at fairly reasonable €3,499.
In addition to these good-looking electric MTBs, Bianchi’s e-Vertic lineup also includes two electric city bikes called the “T-Type” and “C-Type”. Both e-bikes are equipped with 400 to 500 Wh batteries which can provide enough energy for a range of up to 71 miles on a single charge. The Bianchi e-Vertic C-Type has a practical step-through aluminum frame, and both e-bikes have a pre-installed rack and lights. In terms of price, these commuter-friendly electric bikes will start at around €3,000 in Europe.
