LG has announced that its 2022 CineBeam 4K laser projector models are available in Canada. The devices were unveiled in May and launched in the US over the summer. The ultra-short throw projectors can cast an image 100-in (~254 cm) wide when as little as 9.8 cm (~3.9-in) away from the wall. The gadgets have a 0.19 throw ratio and a maximum image size 120-in (~305 cm).
Both devices have a 4K native resolution, with a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. There are several differences between the two projectors, such as their finish; the HU915QE has a premium Kvadrat fabric finish, while the HU915QB uses a standard gray fabric. You can perfect your picture with 4-, 9- and 15-point warping, and the Brightness Optimizer feature on the HU915QB automatically adjusts the brightness based on the lighting in your environment. This model has a peak brightness of 3,000 ANSI lumens, while the HU915QE can reach up to 3,700 lumens. Each light source is rated for 20,000 hours of life.
LG suggests that the devices work best indoors, but you could also use them to watch a movie in your backyard. Each projector has a 2.2 channel 40 W sound system with four built-in 10 W speakers; alternatively, you can connect up to two LG speakers via Bluetooth for an elevated sound experience. You can buy the 2022 LG CineBeam 4K laser projector models HU915QE and HU915QB in Canada for CA$7,498 (~US$5,653) and CA$8,498 (~US$6,407), respectively.
