Monolith x Aluminum new minimalist compact speaker with 15 hour battery life arrives
The Nocs Monolith x Aluminum speaker is now available to pre-order worldwide. Also known as the Monolith Aluminum, the compact device has a minimalist design, with the company indicating that it has tried to “strip away all that is unnecessary.” Nocs also suggests that it sought feedback on the device from artists and DJs during development.
The Monolith x Aluminum houses two full-range 2-inch drivers, two 4-inch ultra compact woofers and a 0.8-inch tweeter, each with a 45W Class D amplifier. The portable speaker is said to deliver immersive audio using Studio Sound, with a 39Hz to 23 kHz frequency response range and Nocs amplitude tuning. You can connect up to eight units, allowing you to play the same music across different rooms in your home. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4/5 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi, you can wirelessly stream content from your phone or tablet via Spotify Connect or Tidal Connect, with remote controls offered via the Nocs Design Music App. Plus, the device has a 5,000mAh lithium-ion battery for over 15 hours of playback between charges, recharging via USB-C.
The speaker is described as featuring premium parts that are durable and replaceable if necessary. Customers can choose between silver and matte black versions, with the Nocs Design product measuring 348 x 230 x 57 mm (~13.7 x 9.1 x 2.2 inches) and weighing 4 kg (~8.8 lbs). You can now pre-order the Nocs Monolith Aluminum speaker for $1,000/£850/€1,000/AU$1,500/CA$1,350. Orders are expected to ship in November; at the time of writing, 193 units remain for this pre-order phase, with a wider release planned for this winter.
