OnePlus Buds V debut as cheap wireless earbuds with Dolby Panoramic Sound, Bluetooth 5.3, and 38 hours total battery life
OnePlus has introduced a brand-new pair of wireless earbuds in China. Called Buds V, the buds match well with the recently launched OnePlus Ace 3V. As for the main highlights, one big standout is the Dolby Panoramic Sound effect. With this, the brand promises an immersive audio experience.
Speaking of the audio, the OnePlus Buds V pack 12.4 mm titanium-plated drivers. You get three sound modes: Deep Bass, Balanced, and Clear & Bright. These audio presets aim to deliver a customized listening experience. There’s also an option to create personalized EQ through the HeyMelody app.
For wireless connectivity, the Buds V boast Bluetooth 5.3, which OnePlus says has a latency of 94 ms. The wireless buds also bring up to 38 hours of total battery life. As for the earbuds themselves, they can deliver up to eight hours of runtime after a full charge. While there’s no super fast charging feature, the charging case can offer five hours of playtime with one hour of charge.
Other highlights of the OnePlus Buds V include an IP55 rating, touch controls, AI-powered noise cancellation for calls, and a lightweight design. The brand is offering these Bluetooth earbuds in Interstellar Blue, Sandstone White, and Shadow black.
As for the price, the Buds V launched at CNY 149 (around $20) in China. OnePlus hasn’t announced global availability yet, but the wireless earbuds will likely launch as new Nord Buds (Nord Buds 2 curr. $39.99 on Amazon) in the international markets.
