1More Fit Open Earbuds S50 launch with wireless charging, a washable design and early-bird pricing
The Open Earbuds S50 have the same DLC diaphragms to go with new PurePower Drivers, "studio-level" EQ presets from Sonarworks and "tuning by a Grammy Award-winning sound engineer" as some other 1More earphones or headphones - however, they are the company's first products to adopt the fast-emerging open-ear form-factor aimed at athletic consumers.
Despite this, 1More does not mention bone or air conduction techniques in relation to its new S50s, preferring instead to rely on an almost ear-tip-like "Directional Sound Loop" to funnel the audio into the user's ear. They, along with their new "no-pinch" ear-hooks are backed for superior long-term comfort.
1More could not of course pack QuietMax technology into these new buds; however, the OEM does assert that their "AI ENC algorithm" informs the deployment of quad mics (2 per bud) for clarity in voice calls, at least. The S50s do, however, have wireless charging in common with their flagship EVO siblings.
The case in question also contributes to a total estimated battery life of 38 hours - however, it is important to note that it lacks the IPX7 ingress-protection of the buds they house: as such, only the S50s themselves should be exposed to sweat or the water to wash it off after a workout.
The Fit Open Earbuds S50 can now be ordered via the 1More website in silver or gray at US$149.99, or US$120 for a limited time with the code SPORT20, with availability on Amazon to follow.
