Infinix pitches its latest Zero-series device as the ideal Android smartphone for those most interested in front-facing camera footage, thanks to an unusually high-res selfie camera. It is touted as capable of "flagship"-grade 4K recording, and is set into a "unique" and "beautifully curved" AMOLED display with a competitive 144Hz refresh rate. The 30 5G is also rated to extend its RAM to as much as 21GB thanks to its Android 13-based, ChatGPT-capable UI.

Infinix touts its new Zero 30 5G as the best mobile device for "young people around the world" who dream of taking "self-expressive, high-quality, cinematic vlogs" rather than mere selfies. To this end, the OEM has gone to the Venice International Film Festival rather than IFA 2023 to launch the smartphone in its new Golden Hour, Fantasy Purple, and Rome Green colorways.

The Zero 30 5G's marquee 50MP front-facing camera is rated to record not merely in 4K but in 4K at 60 frames per second (fps) - a spec typically reserved for top-end flagship smartphones, as Infinix points out. The "Ultra HD Video" selfie camera is joined by a Dual Micro-slit Flash set into the front panel for lighting in any conditions, and is equipped with phase-detect auto-focus (PDAF) for increased quality and detail.

Further stabilization goes unmentioned, however. Ironically, the 30 5G's 108MP main camera is rated for OIS and EIS. Nevertheless, Infinix is confident that the Zero 30 5G will make even more of an all-in-one vlogging machine with a grip-friendly curved rear panel with a frame of just 2.8mm in height. However, this does also mean its display, while 144Hz and AMOLED, is not pitched at gamers with its own "60° Golden Curve".

Then again, the smartphone's chassis does pack a large enough 5,000mAh battery, rated to charge from 1-80% in as little as 30 minutes with 68W Super Charging. It runs XOS 13, an Android 13 skin that includes its own ChatGPT-powered voice assistant ("Folax").

Infinix claims that the new smartphone can have up to 21GB of RAM - albeit only when its Extended Memory feature is activated in a 12GB SKU. That spec is paired to the Dimensity 8020 processor in the new smartphone, which is projected to put the Zero 30 5G at ~US$339 on its impending release to select markets.
