Infinix Hot 20 5G: Mid-range smartphone debuts with MediaTek Dimensity 810 and 120 Hz display
Infinix has brought another mid-range smartphone, having recently launched the Zero 20 and the Zero Ultra globally. As the company's marketing images stress, the new smartphone sits within its 'Hot' series, seemingly a lower-order offering than the 'Zero' series. Regardless, the Hot 20 5G shares a few details with its Zero siblings, namely a high refresh rate display and a high-megapixel camera.
Specifically, Infinix equips the Hot 20 5G with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 and 4 GB of RAM, plus 128 GB of storage. Please note that while Infinix markets the device as featuring 'up to 7 GB of RAM', this only applies when including '3 GB Extended RAM', which is nothing more than a page file. Separately, the Hot 20 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery that it can recharge at 18 W, 10% of what the Zero Ultra manages.
Additionally, the Hot 20 5G has a 6.6-inch IPS display that resolves at 1080p with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. As the image below highlights, the Hot 20 5G also has a 50 MP primary camera, which Infinix complements with a depth sensor and an 8 MP front-facing camera. For reference, the 50 MP camera is the Samsung ISOCELL JN1, a popular sensor found in countless mid-range smartphones and tablets.
The Hot 20 5G is orderable now via Infinix's AliExpress store, where it is available in Racing Black, Space Blue, Blaster Green colourways. All colourways cost US$179.90 and ship with Android 12, albeit Infinix's XOS 10.6 skin applied on top.
