Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max: Lots of battery power, but quite heavy

Teaser
The large smartphone from Apple has the same features as the small Pro, but a larger display, a much more powerful battery and also weighs noticeably more. So it's not a smartphone for everyone due to its physical prowess alone. But perhaps for you?

The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display and weighs a hefty 240 grams with all the glass and the stainless steel frame. At least it is well-balanced and not too top-heavy, so it still feels good in the hands.

The Apple A16 processor with 6 GB of RAM makes it one of the fastest smartphones. You have a choice of 128, 256, 512 or 1,024 GB for the internal storage. Regarding the smallest variant, it should be borne in mind that the memory is a little slower and that the ProRes video functions are also limited due to its small capacity.

The approximately 35% more powerful battery compared to the iPhone 14 Pro not only compensates for the higher energy consumption of the larger display, but also provides the Pro Max with a big runtime boost, even if this is not as big as in the predecessor.

The new 48-MP triple camera provides great photos and videos. The digital 2x magnification is impressive and the colors in macro mode are now slightly closer to the main lens than in the predecessor, even if it is still not optimal.

In sum, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is in no way inferior to its smaller sibling, but scores with longer battery runtimes. So if you want as much display area as possible and can come to terms with the heavier weight, you get a great smartphone.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is available in all color and storage versions directly from Apple. The model is also usually available via Amazon or other popular retailers, depending on your country, and tends to be a little cheaper.
