ZTE has released the latest version of its Android skin, MyOS, for its flagship Axon 30 smartphone series. It is rated for over 200 UX tweaks and memory expansion features, and also upgrades the series' Pro variant's display refresh rate to 144Hz: the same as that of the top-end Ultra version.

ZTE has announced MyOS 11.5 for the Axon 30 series. This new OS version is still based on Android 11, although it is still rated for potentially significant upgrades for certain variants. For example, it increases the refresh rate of the Pro variant from the 120Hz spec with which it launched to the 144Hz of the 30 Ultra.

Axon 30 Pro 5G units with this new update can also now switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz  from their Display settings. MyOS 11.5 also confers the "memory fusion" function on it and its siblings, thus adding the option to 'extend' a device's RAM using some of its internal storage, while also leveraging AI to optimize the distribution and compression of app data.

ZTE also claims to have packed 200+ "user experience optimizations", including My Desktop, which allows for increased flexibility in homescreen widget sizes and layouts, leaving it arguably similar to Vivo's OriginOS in appearance. MyOS 11.5 also introduces a new "floating light notification" setting for periodic reminders for those apps or tasks deemed important within its settings.
