OnePlus announces pricing and release date for new 5G mid-range smartphone
OnePlus has now fully unveiled the Nord CE 4, having first announced the handset a few weeks ago. As expected, the Nord CE 3 successor sits below the recent Ace 3V with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Additionally, OnePlus complements the mid-range chipset with 8 GB of RAM and a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 100 W wired charging.
Moreover, the Nord CE 4 comes in 128 GB or 256 GB of storage variants, both with microSD card expansion. On top of that, OnePlus integrates a 6.7-inch OLED display that outputs not only 1080p but also 120 Hz and 1,100 nits (900 nits HBM). Moreover, the Nord CE 4 finds itself with a Sony LYT600 as its primary camera, which captures shots at 50 MP with a 1/1.95-inch optical format. Furthermore, OnePlus has equipped the device with 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 16 MP front-facing cameras.
Unsurprisingly, OnePlus will ship the Nord CE 4 with OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14. Unfortunately, the company has only committed to delivering two major Android OS updates and three years of security patch updates. Thus, while the Nord CE 4 will still be receiving security patches until early 2027, its OS update support will cease as of Android 16. The Nord CE 4 will be orderable in India on April 4 at 12:00 IST (06:30 UTC) for the following prices with a complimentary pair of Nord Buds 2r with pre-orders:
- 8 GB of RAM/128 GB storage - INR 24,999 (~$300)
- 8 GB of RAM/256 GB storage - INR 26,999 (~$324)
