Motorola Edge 50 Pro launch pricing revealed with high-end pricing for Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 smartphone
Motorola is under a day away from fully releasing the Edge 50 Pro, having teased the device extensively throughout last month. To recap, the company has already confirmed that the device will utilise the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, a mid-range chipset that also powers the OnePlus Nord CE 4. As such, the Edge 50 Pro is more of an Edge 40 successor, with the Edge 50 Ultra acting as an Edge 40 Pro replacement instead.
Nonetheless, an alleged European retailer listing points to the Edge 50 Pro costing almost as much as the Edge 40 Pro. As the screenshot below shows, @passionategeekz claims to have come across an Italian retailer that has priced the Edge 50 Pro at €864.99, including VAT. For reference, this would roughly convert to $726 at current exchange rates, excluding Italy's 22% VAT rate.
Allegedly, this prce reflects the device's 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage option. Thus, there may well be a cheaper option in the works with 256 GB of storage, as there is for the Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro. Motorola will unveil the Edge 50 Pro in India tomorrow; the company has not set a global release date yet, though.
