RedMagic VC Cooler 5 Pro claims to reduce phone temperature to -12 degrees Celsius

While you may know Nubia for its gaming phone line, the company also has accessories in its portfolio. One recently launched accessory is the RedMagic VC Cooler 5 Pro. But it's not just for Nubia's smartphones. It is meant to snap on the back of a wide range of phones.

More specifically, it features a magnetic design, which makes it compatible with iPhone 12 and later. For the phones that don't have support for MagSafe-like accessories, Nubia offers a back clip. This means that the VC Cooler 5 Pro should work on almost all modern smartphones.

The mobile phone cooler sports a liquid-cooled vapor chamber (VC) radiator with a dedicated cooling fan. This fan features seven blades and can spin at up to 5500 RPM. While these may seem regular specs for smartphone coolers, the cooling capacity of the VC Cooler 5 Pro is really what makes it stand out.

According to Nubia, with 36-watt cooling, this RedMagic phone cooler can drop the smartphone's temperature to as low as -12 degrees Celsius (10.4 degrees Fahrenheit). The company further says that the VC Cooler 5 Pro can lower a smartphone's temperature from 28 degrees (82.4 degrees Fahrenheit) to 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) in half a minute.

This level of temperature drop should result in a consistent gaming experience on the supported smartphones. Of course, it's not just for gaming. You can use the RedMagic VC Cooler 5 Pro to keep your phone cool while recording high-resolution videos.

Other highlights of the smartphone cooler include a transparent design with RGB, low-noise operation, and support for the RedMagic Goper app on Android. The app offers controls on different parameters, such as the RGB light and cooling intensity. As for the price, the VC Cooler 5 Pro will be available from April 15 at $59.
