Dreame reveals powerful X40 Master robot vacuum and mop with compact dock
Dreame has unveiled the X40 Master robot vacuum and mop. The model was revealed alongside the X40 Ultra Complete at the brand’s Spring Launch Conference in Hamburg, with the two devices sharing many features. For example, both models are particularly powerful, with up to 12,000 Pa suction power. Other shared tools include a side brush and MopExtend RoboSwing technology for edge-to-edge cleaning,
The main difference between the X40 Master and the Ultra Complete version is the particularly compact docking station. The Master’s dock is just 28 cm (~11 inches) tall, making it less intrusive in your home. The docking station is smaller as it does not contain water tanks; instead, it is plumbed in for automatic water replenishment and disposal of wastewater. As well as emptying and refilling the robot’s onboard compartments as necessary, the dock can wash the mops with hot water at 70°C (~158°F) and then dry them for hygienic storage.
The Dreame X40 Master robot vacuum and mop will go on sale in the EU this June for €1,699. Meanwhile, the flagship Dreame X40 Ultra Complete Robot Vacuum mop is available to pre-order for €1,499 at Amazon, which is €200 less than the Master version. Whether or when the models will launch in other regions remains to be seen.
