The P50 is a new Teclast tablet with basic features. Indeed, the manufacturer is clearly attempting to market the price as the main selling point. However, this has not yet been established, so Teclast has only made general statements about it so far. The current range of simply equipped tablets, even in the low price spectrum, is anything but small.
The Teclast P50 comes with a Unisoc Tiger T606, which is definitely not a particularly powerful processor and the integrated Mali-G57 graphics solution does not deliver top performance either, so it is certainly not a device for video gamers. Another supposed selling point is the 14 GB of RAM. In reality, the actual physical RAM amounts to 6 GB, which can be virtually expanded by up to 8 GB. The internal storage is 128 GB, which should be sufficient for many basic applications. If not, the storage can be expanded using a microSD card.
The difference to the T50HD is the display. The P50 measures 11 inches diagonally and only has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The brightness is specified as 300 cd/m². The main camera has a resolution of 13 MP and the front camera 5 MP. The operating system definitely counts among the advantages, as Android 14 is a modern system, and Parallel View should provide a better user experience, at least in compatible apps in widescreen mode. The P50 has a cellular connection and can be used as a navigation system thanks to GPS, Beidou, Glonass and Galileo support. The metal unibody chassis is another selling point, whereby the tablet is said to be only 8 millimetres thick and weigh 530 grams.
