Teclast T50HD: HD tablet with Android 14
The T50HD from Teclast is a new and rather compact tablet that aims to impress with its slim design and comes with a not entirely atypical computing chip. A modern operating system, namely Android 14, is installed.

Teclast is a very active tablet manufacturer and has a new model, the T50HD, in the pipeline. Information about price or availability of the device is still pending, but the model is likely to be aimed at price-conscious customers. Other Teclast tablets, such as the T60, are widely available at Amazon.

The Teclast T50HD is equipped with an 11-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a typical brightness of 300 cd/m². Widevine L1 certification is available, so material from streaming service providers can also be played back in high quality, which is not always a given on inexpensive tablets. The installed Unistoc Tiger T606 is not an entirely unpopular SoC, but its performance is limited. Two Cortex A75 cores are combined with six Cortex A55 cores and an ARM Mali-G57 graphics solution is used. At 6 GB, the RAM is not so small and the internal memory is also quite large at 256 GB.

Storage can be expanded via a microSD memory card. The tablet can be used with two SIM cards, although 5G connections are not supported. Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth and Beidou, GPS, Glonass and Galileo support are on board. A jack socket is available, and the 8000 mAh battery can be charged via USB-C, but it is not particularly high performance. The main camera has a resolution of 13 MP and an LED flash, while the front camera has 8 MP. Measuring just 257.1 x 169.2 millimetres and 7.9 millimetres, the tablet weighs around half a kilogram and uses Android 14, a modern operating system.
