Deal | Google Pixel Watch hits new record low price on Amazon
Google's first-gen Pixel Watch has now crashed to a new all-time price. The WiFi version of the smartwatch is now available for just $180.49 on Amazon, a $99.5 drop from what Google sells it for on its official online store. While it's a one-generation-old model, the company still fully supports it.
Moreover, the original Google Pixel Watch ticks all the essentials. As we've covered in our in-depth review, the smartwatch has multiple health and fitness features. It can accurately monitor heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and sleep. There's also activity tracking, which can automatically track 41 different types of activities.
All the health and fitness tracking data is handheld by the Fitbit app, where you can find detailed reports. You also get the best Android smartwatch experience with Wear OS 4. This operating system offers a wide range of customization options and access to a ton of apps.
Hardware-wise, the first-gen Pixel Watch is powered by Samsung Exynos 9110 SoC, which is paired with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The display is good too. It comes with a 1.2-inch AMOLED screen that can go up to 1000 nits, offering good readability in outdoor conditions. As for the build, it features a stainless steel case with the display sporting Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There's also an IP68 rating.
While all that makes the smartwatch sound extremely good, especially for the discounted price, there are some minor drawbacks that you should note. One of them is the battery life. The first-gen Pixel Watch has a 294 mAh battery, which can only offer up to 24 hours of runtime. Another thing to consider is that there's only one size available, but Google does offer two band options for different wrist sizes.
