Deal | Apple’s latest affordable iPad hits record low price
Apple’s 10th generation iPad is currently the best affordable tablet the company has to offer, and as per past reports, it’s likely not getting a proper successor anytime soon. But even though it’s an entry-level tablet from 2022, it’s still worth the purchase if you don’t need the power the higher-end options offer.
The good part is that the 2022 Apple iPad is now cheaper than ever. It’s now available for $349 on Amazon and Best Buy, which is a steep $100 discount from the regular price tag. Do note that this sale pricing applies to the 64 GB model with WiFi.
As mentioned earlier, it’s not as powerful as the latest iPad Air or iPad Pro, as the tablet has the A14 Bionic that Apple introduced with the iPhone 12. But it performed well in the tests that we did back in 2022. Also, a recent 2024 review from Simple Alpaca suggests the SoC can still handle multitasking and most games with ease.
Another point of concern could be the software support. However, given that the 10th generation iPad is just about one and a half years old now, it will likely get a few more years of updates. But, of course, the software support won’t be as long as the iPad Pros.
Besides that, the other aspects of the 2022 Apple iPad are good, especially at this discounted price. You get a decent battery life, a sleek design, and good speakers. The True Tone-enabled IPS panel of the tablet is also good, though it’s limited to 60 Hz. You can learn more from Simple Alpaca’s review video attached below.
