The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus (or A9+) is painted as a cost-effective tablet ahead of its launch. The budget SoC said to confer 5G on the device has popped up in a new leak, as have more display details. Despite these updates, it might have a classic Tab A-series design otherwise.

Samsung is thought to add an inaugural Plus variant to its Galaxy Tab A series of home multimedia-focused devices soon. The A9+ might owe its new suffix to an upgrade to on-board 5G, powered by an affordable Qualcomm chipset. Now, the processor in question has cropped up in another new leak.

MyFixGuide claims to have found a new Google Play Console entry that corroborates other tips concerning certain Galaxy Tab A9+ specs. It allegedly specifies an 8-core processor with 2 ARM Cortex-A78s clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 more A55s at 1.804GHz with an Adreno 619 GPU going at 840MHz: the Snapdragon 695, in other words.

The SoC will apparently drive a "1,200x1,920" display in the upcoming Galaxy Tab A-series flagship. It may not have been joined by its vanilla A9 sibling on the Play Console as yet; however, it is on the Play Supported Devices list, in the form of variants that hint at both Wi-Fi only and 4G/LTE-enabled options.
