Roland Quandt has now found the remaining details about the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series, following Samsung's recent inadvertent disclosure. Incidentally, European prices for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus have already leaked, which we have covered separately. While the pair are expected to start for significantly less than their series flagship counterparts, Samsung will still include a few unexpected features in its next Fan Edition tablets.
For example, Samsung has IP68 certified both tablets, effectively making their metal housings waterproof in most instances. Additionally, the smaller Galaxy Tab S9 FE is said to lack Samsung S Pen support, unlike the larger Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus. For reference, the former is rumoured to feature a 10.9-inch and 2,304 x 1,440-pixel panel, compared to the latter's 12.4-inch panel that also operates at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.
Moreover, the pair have 8 MP primary and 12 MP selfie cameras; both downgrades on the equivalents in more expensive Galaxy Tab S9 tablets. Also, only the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus has an ultra-wide-angle camera, which outputs at 12 MP. Conversely, both tablets support MicroSD card expansion, plus Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity through their Exynos 1380 chipsets. Furthermore, whereas the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus has a 10,090 mAh battery, the smaller Galaxy Tab S9 FE makes do with an 8,000 mAh typical capacity. Currently, Samsung is expected to introduce its new Fan Edition tablets in early October, possibly on October 4.
