Xiaomi has now replaced the Xiaomi 12T with the Xiaomi 13T, which appears to be an upgrade in many areas. For one, Xiaomi has included a more powerful chipset in its newer smartphone, as is often the case. Additionally, the company has equipped the Xiaomi 13T with superior rear-facing cameras and a faster display.
Specifically, the Xiaomi 13T utilises the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery that can fully recharge in approximately 42 minutes via 67 W TurboCharge technology. Moreover, Xiaomi has equipped the Xiaomi 13T with 50 MP primary (OIS), 50 MP telephoto and 12 MP ultra-wide-angle rear-facing cameras. However, the 20 MP front-facing camera from the Xiaomi 12T remains.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi 13T has the same 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display as the Xiaomi 13T Pro. Thus, the former also outputs at 2,712 x 1,220 pixels with a 144 Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness and a 480 Hz touch sampling rate. For reference, all Xiaomi 13T variants measure 162.2 x 75.7 x 8.49 mm and weigh 197 g, in part because of Xiaomi's Gorilla Glass 5 usage and IP68 certification.
The Xiaomi 13T is available today in the Eurozone, but only with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. While the handset retails for €649.90, Xiaomi will bundle a complimentary Redmi Pad SE with pre-orders placed between September 26 and October 11. As we have discussed previously, the Xiaomi 13T series will receive four Android OS updates from Android 13 and five years of security patch updates.
