Ring One smart wearable with contactless payments and skin temperature sensor unveiled
The Ring One from Muse Wearables will soon begin crowdfunding on Indiegogo. You can use the device to monitor your health, measuring your heart rate, SpO2 level, VO2 Max, blood pressure and skin temperature. You can also use the Muse Ring One to track your activity, counting steps and logging calorie burn.
A built-in turn wheel can switch between workout modes on the Ring One, and an app-based coach can help you reach fitness and wellness goals. Plus, you can use the app to share your achievements with friends. The wearable can monitor your sleep, with insights like Sleep and Readiness scores viewable in the accompanying app. You can also use the ring to make contactless payments, with a turn wheel interface providing extra security. The wearable can last up to seven days and comes with a smart charging case.
The Ring One’s sensors include research-grade optical PPG sensors, a temperature sensor, a 6-axis accelerometer and a gyroscope, alongside an NFC antenna for payments and wireless charging. The Indiegogo campaign will launch on September 26th, though pledge levels for the Ring One’s Indiegogo campaign remain to be seen. The project page suggests that early customers will receive a 40% discount on the RRP and a lifetime free subscription to the app.
