We've previously reported on RingConn several times before, a company that offers various generations of smart rings and also develops its own software, regularly releasing corresponding updates to this end. As a smart ring itself does not have any displays, communication with the user and the relay of information takes place entirely via an app. RingConn just has now released an update, which updates the software of its smart rings to version 3.0.2. The changelog is relatively short, but the changes are nevertheless quite significant.
The changelog states that the user interface has been extensively updated and the presentation of health data improved. Bugs are said to have been fixed and the stability of the app improved. The changelog in the app goes into a little more detail. For example, the integration of a module for AI-generated plans is advertised: these can be used to improve health through various measures. The app now supports AI-based communication, so questions can be asked fairly freely, which are then answered by the program in text form. In addition, the personal chatbot also generates links to the relevant parameters in the program.
The revised interface is apparently intended to provide a clearer overview, with sleep, health status, recovery status and activity displayed as petals on a flower, so to speak, allowing for a quick glance. As is not entirely unusual with such interface changes, the community is not necessarily of one mind, as evidenced by recent posts on Reddit.
