Smart rings are now widely available at very reasonable prices. One example is the Blaupunkt smart ring (in German only), which also demonstrates that cheaper smart rings are not always inferior. The QRing Smart Ring 3 Pro is also very reasonably priced and does not skimp on features either. At first glance, it is clear that the surface of the smart ring is not completely smooth: an LED is installed, which allows notifications to be recognized without having to look at the smartphone. This feature, however, is limited; with a smartwatch, for example, users can see which app is sending the notification or the previews of messages. The QRing Smart Ring 3 Pro, on the other hand, does not provide this level of detail. A touch surface is also integrated, which can be used to control various elements such as music playback or the smartphone camera.
The smart ring is advertised as being able to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and skin temperature. Sleep can also be analyzed in terms of sleep duration and sleep quality. Support for training is on board in the form of measurement parameters such as heart rate, calories burned and steps taken. The ring is also said to be waterproof up to a test pressure of 5 ATM. Lastly, the battery life of the ring itself is specified as 7 days, which supposedly extends up to 60 days with the included charging case.
The QRing Smart Ring 3 Pro is now available directly from the manufacturer at a price of $99.
