Garmin has released a new beta update for its last-generation high-end smartwatches. Arriving less than a month after the company began rolling out a previous beta build to the same group of devices, Beta Version 19.27 makes various changes to the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro, including one that could have caused a device shutdown in some cases.

Garmin continues to release new updates for the Enduro 2, Epix 2, Fenix 7, MARQ Gen 2, and Quatix 7 (curr. $599.99 on Amazon) at a steady rate. To recap, the company issued Beta Version 19.24 a few weeks ago with a sleep-tracking bug fix for some devices. Now, it has moved onto Beta Version 19.27, which is available globally.

In short, the latest update for the devices mentioned above introduces a few more new features and improvements than its predecessor. Notably, Garmin has added support for backing up courses and saved locations, which efines its previous device backup offering. Additionally, Beta Version 19.27 is said to fix a misleading prompt related to FTP updates.

Moreover, the new update should resolve an issue where nautical units were not correctly applied to auto lap settings. On top of that, Beta Version 19.27 addresses a potential shutdown bug that occurred when using the 'Around Me' feature on maps. Furthermore, Garmin has improved auto climb sensitivity during climbing activities and other miscellaneous bug fixes to enhance overall device performance. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
