A new update is rolling out to the Huawei Watch D2 smartwatch. The wearable, which can measure your blood pressure using a built-in cuff, was launched in September. Since then, it has received a system stability update, which began to reach users in October.
Now, users have reported version 5.0.0.173(C00M02), a 37.94MB update, on Reddit. This time, Huawei is bringing several features and improvements to the wearable. The release notes state that there is a new barometer app that can be used to measure the altitude and air pressure at your current location. Other additions include a calculator app, a quick recording feature for the Stay Fit app and the ability to reject calls from third-party apps. On top of this, Huawei has improved the user interface of the blood pressure app; unfortunately, it does not detail what change it has made. Finally, the change log notes that there are further stability enhancements.
The Huawei Watch D2 update version 5.0.0.173 will be downloadable via the Huawei Health app. It is unclear how many users it has reached so far, in which countries it is currently available, and when the rollout will be complete. The wearable is currently selling at Amazon Germany for €442.09.
