Garmin is rolling out a new beta update for Fenix 7, Fenix 7x, Fenix 7s, Epix, Enduro 2, and Marq Gen 2 smartwatches. Beta version 19.38 was announced on the brand’s online forum, where it was made clear that the update did not affect Pro models like the Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar (curr. $649.99 at Amazon).
The beta update follows the release of stable version 19.34, which arrived a couple of weeks ago. This extra release brings six bug fixes to these smartwatches. These include rectifying an issue where the workout schedules on the wearable and in Garmin Connect did not match. A problem with incorrect weekly totals and possible shutdowns when saving and activity have been resolved. Garmin has also tackled missing pan/zoom icons on maps and absent workout name translations. On top of this, a bug which caused sleep tracking to be re-enabled after it had ended has been fixed.
You can download the update by going to Menu -> System -> Software Update -> Check For Updates. It is unclear when beta version 19.38 will roll out to all users of the non-Pro Fenix 7 and related smartwatches. It also remains to be seen when the first beta update in the next testing cycle, 20.xx, will arrive.
