The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 and Pro 5 Enduro smartwatches are about to be updated. Information about this release, and a similar update for the recent TicWatch Atlas smartwatch, has been shared on Facebook.
The version TMDB.240925.002 update is said to bring new features to the wearables. These include Fall Detection and Emergency SOS, which help users raise the alarm if they are in trouble; you must also update the Mobvoi Health smartphone app to get this tool. More sports have been added to TicExercise, including soccer, rugby and frisbee. Plus, there are new system ringtones, improvements to some third-party watch face components, and a security patch to November 1st.
On top of this, Mobvoi has addressed issues where the watch failed to vibrate for a notification, missing VO2 Max and Recovery Time data and performance lagging at low battery levels. Version TMDB.240925.002 will begin to roll out to TicWatch Pro 5 and Pro 5 Enduro smartwatch users from December 12th. At first, it will only be available to 10% of units, gradually increasing to 50% on the 17th and 100% on the 18th. The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro smartwatch is currently available at Amazon for $329.99.
