Rogbid is launching a new smartwatch, the Rogbid Air 2, which is said to be characterized by its ruggedness, durability and imperviousness to extreme weather conditions. Both IP69K certification and water resistance up to a test pressure of 5 ATM are advertised. It is also supposedly unaffected by extreme temperatures, namely down to -40 °C and up to 70 °C.
The smartwatch is equipped with a 1.85-inch AMOLED touchscreen, but there are also buttons available for more traditionally minded users and for cases where users have wet hands, for example. Not only are two buttons located on the right-hand side, but also a flashlight, which may be useful at night when camping or for cases where users don't have a flashlight or torch at hand.
A 730 mAh battery is installed, which is said to provide 30 days of use. This is a very long runtime indeed, but the battery life of smartwatches is always heavily dependent on use. Optical sensors for measuring heart rate and oxygen saturation are on board, and the smartwatch is also supposedly capable of analyzing everyday activity and sleep quality. Lastly, it can be used as a Bluetooth hands-free system.
The smartwatch is available directly from the manufacturer at a price of $50. Other comparable smartwatches are widely available, but mostly without a flashlight. A possible alternative is the Amazfit GTR 3, a similar watch with GPS and Alexa.
