The Black Shark GS3 Sport smartwatch has been launched in China. The company is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem and released the standard GS3 wearable earlier this year. There appear to be many similarities between the two models.
The GS3 Sport has the same 1.43 inch AMOLED display as its predecessor, with a 466 x 466 px resolution, 60Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits brightness. There are health features, like heart rate and blood oxygen level monitoring, as well as GNSS positioning and Bluetooth calling with ENC. One improvement appears to be a greater number of sports modes, with Black Shark claiming there are over 120. Plus, the smartwatch features an LED flashlight and is expected to run for up to 18 days between charges.
The wearable is water resistant to 50 m, weighs 31 g (~0.07 lbs) and is offered in three colors: black, red and purple. The Black Shark GS3 Sport smartwatch is now available in China for CNY 499 (~$68). It is unclear whether or when this wearable could be available worldwide. In the meantime, you could consider other models like the Redmi Watch 5 Active smartwatch, which is currently $59.97 at Amazon.
