The Huawei Watch Fit 3 smartwatch is receiving a new global update. The HarmonyOS 5.0 release has been reported by users in countries like Germany. This is a stable version of the beta update spotted in China earlier in December, bringing two changes to these wearables.
The firmware version 5.0.0.15(C00M03) update is 73.17MB in size. The changelog states that the update brings a new screenshot feature to the wearable. This allows users to capture images of the watch's face, which are then stored in your phone's photo gallery. On top of that, the release brings another watch face named Clock Tower. Plus, a recent update for the Huawei Health app has also brought a new festive watch face, named "Xmas Wishing Star" to the wearable.
The HarmonyOS 5 update appears to be rolling out to Huawei Watch Fit 3 users in phases, a process which typically takes a few weeks. However, it is unclear at what stage the rollout is and, therefore, how many customers can install the update at this time. You can check if it has arrived for your smartwatch in the Huawei Health app. The Huawei Watch Fit 3 smartwatch is currently available at Amazon for $157.43.
