The Garmin Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Solar, Enduro 3 and Fenix E smartwatches are now receiving beta version 13.13. This is the second update in the 13.xx testing cycle, which began with the larger version 13.12 release a couple of weeks ago.
The change log for beta version 13.13 lists 8 amendments for these wearables. There is a new Layout Selection Menu on the keyboard, alongside an additional QWERTY keyboard layout. Plus, the keyboard gains a text prediction tool, though this is currently only available for English language users. Other new tools include the Trolling Motor App nautical units and datascreen update.
On top of these, Garmin has resolved issues with cropped emojis and the ability for the touch lock to be re-enabled accidentally. There is also a solution for a problem with the play/pause key arc on the Spotify Player. Beta testers with a Fenix 8 or related smartwatch can download beta version 13.13 by going to the Main Menu > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. It remains to be seen when these features and bug fixes will arrive in a public update for users of the Fenix 8 and Enduro 3 smartwatches (curr. $851.49 at Amazon).
