Garmin is rolling out a beta update to the Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Solar, Enduro 3 and Fenix E smartwatches. Version 12.32 arrived around one week after version 12.31, which brought fixes for a range of bugs.
According to the beta version 12.32 change log, Garmin has tackled another problem with the wearables. This time, it has resolved an issue that could cause the smartwatches to crash when a user opens Map Manager in the Garmin Connect Mobile app. It has also made it easier to pair sensors, ensuring that devices in Pairing Mode are served at the top of the list of search results.
Finally, Garmin says that it has restricted the Workout Execution Score to only Running and Cycling workouts. The metric, which tells users how accurately they completed their workout, was recently improved in the December 2024 update. The company has not explained why it has taken this action and whether the move is temporary or permanent. Beta Version 12.32 is rolling out over the air to users of the Fenix 8 series wearables, including the Fenix 8 Solar 51mm (currently $1,199.99 at Amazon). It is unclear whether this is a phased release or if all users can already install the update.
