The Redmi K80 series will be fully unveiled on November 27 in China, but this smartphone lineup won't be the only star of the show. Xiaomi has just announced that it will release the Redmi Watch 5 and Buds 6 Pro on the same date in China.
As for the Redmi Watch 5, it's the third member of the lineup. The company previously launched the Watch 5 Lite and Watch 5 Active, both of which come with affordable price tags. Xiaomi hasn't confirmed much about the upcoming wearable, but it did share that there will be a 2.07-inch display, and the ultra battery saver mode can offer up to 24 days of battery life.
Like the recently launched smartwatches from the company, the Watch 5 will run on HyperOS 2, and there will be app support. Hu Xinxin, Redmi's product manager, shared some more details about the wearable. According to Xinxin's recent Weibo post, the smartwatch will sport a metal frame, support focus notifications, and offer access to different apps.
Moving to the Redmi Buds 6 Pro, Xiaomi confirmed that new wireless earbuds will offer up to 55 dB of noise cancellation, and they will be the first to equip "Xiaomi's ceramic coaxial three-unit" driver setup. These buds also have "step-less dynamic noise reduction technology," which could make the transition between the noise cancellation levels feel natural.
There's no word on the launch prices yet, and the company hasn't shared details on when the Redmi Buds 6 Pro and Watch 5 (Active curr. $39.99 on Amazon) will debut outside China. However, both of their predecessors made a global debut, so they could be introduced to the international market soon after the Chinese launch.
