Xiaomi will be officially unveiling the Redmi K80 series in China on November 27. The lineup is also expected to make a global debut sometime in December or early 2025 under the Poco branding, with the standard reportedly launching as the F7 Pro and the K80 Pro as the F7 Ultra.
Ahead of the Chinese debut, Xiaomi has shared that the Redmi K80 Pro can score nearly 3.2 million in AnTuTu. More specifically, the company says that it can achieve 3,194,766 points. It's the highest score coming from a Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship phone, and it's noticeably higher than what the Asus ROG Phone 9 achieved in its record-breaking benchmark run.
This record-breaking score may have been possible for the improved 3D cooling solution that the Redmi K80 Pro packs. While the company hasn't shared more details about the setup yet, this cooling solution likely has a large-sized vapor chamber. However, it's yet to be seen if it will be enough to offer good sustained performance under heavy loads.
Besides the AnTuTu score, the company shared that the Redmi K80 Pro will pair the Snapdragon 8 Elite with the D1 chip. It's there to control the display and enhance the frame rates and resolution in games. The chipset also aims to offer high gaming performance without being power-hungry, which will lead to better battery life.
Overall, with what the company is teasing the K80 Pro with, it seems that the phone will stand as a great pick for those who are looking for a performance-focused smartphone. It can even secure the first spot in AnTuTu's flagship smartphone ranking next month.
