A new leak has revealed what Intel's upcoming Arc B580 graphics card. It boosts up to 2.8 GHz and comes with 20 Xe cores. Intel is expected to launch it sometime in December 2024.

Intel's new Battlemage-based desktop graphics card, Arc B580, has surfaced thanks to Videocardz, who spotted its packaging online, along with its key specs. X leaker @Olrak29_ has given us an idea about its rough performance, and it sits in line with an earlier Geekbench listing where we first saw the graphics card in action.

The Arc B580 features 12 GB of 19 Gbps GDDR6 VRAM on a 192-bit bus. While its TGP is unknown, it requires two 8-pin power connectors, and it boosts up to 2.8 GHz. Performance-wise, it will trade blows with an AD106 GPU found on Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti. Additionally, its B580 moniker suggests this is not Battlemage's top-spec card. This tacitly says Intel may still launch previously rumoured desktop GPU with 16 GB of VRAM (likely under the Arc B780 moniker), which, among other things, was hyped to trade blows with the GeForce RTX 4080.

If priced right, the Arc B580 can still serve as an excellent mid-range option, where it will compete with AMD's RDNA 4 SKUs. Nvidia's Blackwell-based mid-rangers (xx60/xx70 models) aren't coming until H2, 2025, giving Intel and AMD unfiltered access to the coveted market. Driver support for Battlemage SKUs should be substantially better this time, thanks to the platform being out and about on Lunar Lake devices.
